Patches O Houlihan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Tonda's mistakes today 1) Stephens when it should have been Wood 2) Scienza and Larin off on 60 mins. They needed to play another 10-14 mins minimum. 3) Should have been Wood for Stephens - you go to three at the back with the lightweight front three we were going to be left with and you are saying lets play back to the wall football for the last 12 minutes. I don't call him out much (if ever) but this was SO avoidable. 16
Baird of the land Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Our Cm area is just so poor. you look at the club splurging 9m on dobbin(who is behind Edozie in the pecking order) rather than a proper Charles replacement or more ready Stewart replacement. tonda’s subs were poor too. 3
StrangelyBrown Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Can't wait to hear the likes of Alfie House excusing us again. Some serious questions need to be asked of Ekhert about how a team with the quality that we have can't beat that Lincoln side, but no doubt we'll hear the usual sycophantic guff.

Edmonton Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 20 or something goals from last season gone ( Stewart, Charles , THB) we’ve replaced that with 2 loan players and Ward-Prowse . Disappointing , squad doesn’t have enough depth IMO. We’re a Larin injury away from catastrophe . 6
LegalEagle Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Genuine question. Is Mubama really rated by City? He looks like a Sunday morning pub player. He’s lazy, uncoordinated, slow and has no reading of the game. And we’ve swapped Archer for him? Wow 10
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 1 minute ago, cheeky.charlie said: Is that not on Tonda? Not sure it's on him that are subs aren't capable of showing any quality against lincoln He really didn't need to make the subs so early. 7
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 3 minutes ago, Peter Douglas said: Useless f...ing team. Every time they sit back trying to defend a 1 goal lead, they don't have the defensive intelligence for that. Agreed. Don't think this team can defend full stop. But as a team I don't know why they gave Lincoln a load of time and space leading up to the goal. Like they couldn't play anymore. 4
Killers Knee Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don’t want to see any more of Dobbin, Edozie or Mubama. They have all failed their trials. 8
BotleySaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Biggest concern for me is Mubama. Looks really off the pace. Can't do link up play. Can't run at them. Can't control the ball. And we have no other options. I find it incredible Edozie hasn't improved at all in 3 years and again, we've not got many other options there. Let's hope the youth team strikers are better. 7
Osvaldorama Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Bad transfer window costing us already. Mubama is not good enough. Doesn’t hold it up or control it. Don’t really know what he does. 4

washsaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Mubama is a fuckin embarrassment - who sacntioned this shite signing? What a cluster fuck from Saints letting Ballard go last year. Awful performance and their goal is on Eckert....terrible subs. Mubama and Wood were absolutel shocking for their goal. Edozie being Edozie.....and the subs made no sense at all. Saints were on top and starting to look dangerous and then when Edozie and Mubama ame on it was backs to the wall the rest of the game 7
Dan Johnson Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We lose points because of very poor subs. Muemba fucking useless, is he Damien Downes in disguise!? Edozie trying way to hard and losing the ball/not strong enough. taking Larin/Scenzia/Azaz off when we were in control and in the ascendancy was what killed it today. we struggle to break teams down who sit 10 men behind the ball and we’re weak defensively against physical opposition. that being said, at 60 minutes there’s only 1 winner, the subs come and the game shifts. It’s 2 pts dropped 3

Wow Someone said earlier that at least he was an upgrade on Downs, after that performance, is he really? He gets pushed off the ball, has a terrible touch, can’t pass. I get he’s young but he looks genuinely awful.
LGTL Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Transfer window wasn’t good enough, simple as that. We were infinitely worse after the substitutions.
Oldandtired Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I am so tired of having to watch Saints like I watch horror films...hand in front of face from behind the sofa waiting for the worst to happen.
sfc4prem Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As a team we just seemed to be happy to totter around, pass it a bit, sit back and try to hold on to a 1-0 win. This is clearly a choice, probably to save energy or some shit ahead of our next game. Load of bollocks that cost us 2 points. 4
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 minute ago, James said: The failure to properly replace Stewart will really screw us this season. To rely on Larin (who, despite claims about better fitness, clearly can’t do much more than 60/70 mins in multiple game weeks) and a youth loan from City is absolute madness if this Club is serious about automatic promotion. 20 mins against Millwall aside, we’ve been awful so far this season. Been saying this for weeks. If you want to get promotoed then you need to have at least 4 strikers, 2 proven and 2 in back up. We've got one and one who lacks any experience. The club is a joke and I'm standing by my statement that Tonda is well out of his depth. 1
ant Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We've regressed both in personnel and tactically. I'm coming to terms with it likely being a tough slog of a season. 1

Verwood Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Oh dear and so predictable! We have so many players who have no strength to compete. Sure, Lincoln have a some giants but are entirely predictable, we have to be better than this if we’re to be serious contenders. 1

obelisk Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago With these performances the FA could possibly do Saints a big favour later this month.
Mr X Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The scary thing is the club are happy with the transfer window! relying on a 31 year old striker to stay fit and carry us and a inexperienced man city reject as backup 3
saint michael Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If you have any ambitions to win the league or go up you have to win a game like this absolutely no excuses. Wake up Tonda…. We are far too cocky this year and are not playing the football we did when we had the run we did last year. Mubama, Edozie, dobbin, 3 awful players and don’t add anything yet. We needed signings that could make impact immediately. Crazy, lazy stuff saints 6
Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago How very fucking disappointing. Eckhert really fucked us over there - should not have started Stephens. But fair play Lincoln…they had a good game…looked fitter…and had a decent game plan. Lastly, there are too many sub-standard players in our squad and too few with a decent engine - hence the walking football.

Jimmy_D Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Didn’t help ourselves to say the least, really missed Larin’s ability to hold the ball up, but it’s utterly ridiculous that Lincoln finished that match with 11 on the pitch.

So far we look like we did in the real rough patch under Tonda prior to the unbeaten run. It’s massively concerning to be playing like this and still have the potential of the manager being banned.

O_Lord_Marian Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 point against Lincoln City, lets celebrate. Lincoln frigging City..
skintsaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 2 points dropped. Not the end of the world, but terrible subs at the wrong time. Just as we got on top for the 2nd he takes off Larin and Leo. 2

Probably better in fact (although that isn't saying anything). Should have re-signed Ballard this summer. We need a goal scorer would good movement and fishing, doesn't have to be a target man.
Bewildered Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not great, even with the good players on the team look laboured and slow In possession. Subs were basically an invitation for Lincoln to apply pressure. Mubama and Dobbin looking like disasters so far, they might improve but so far looking like typical Sports Republic signings... 1

If that was Stephen’s you’d be moaning like fuck. That’s the 2nd pathetic flat footed jump has cost us goals this season. 2
James Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 minute ago, Winnersaint said: So I take it's season over then? Not season over but if you can’t put away Lincoln I think it’s fair to question whether we’ve got the quality to push for the promotion. The drop off going forward once Larin and Leo went off was pretty scary. I’ve said it a few times but I genuinely can’t fathom why we spent the majority of our transfer fee cash this summer on Lewis Dobbin..makes absolutely no sense. 4

He looks like the unco kid at school who had two left feet.
leeham_69 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I just have a feeling we may be sending mubama back in Jan to try and get someone else in. Very poor, not what we needed at all. But that said trying to defend for our lives with 10 minutes to go against Lincoln was stupid. Could easily have just knocked it around them in their half. 2
