Show him what toxic means. and how far away June 2022 is. Tell him he won't be released until he plays a complete year in the first team however long that takes. Tell his agent they aren't acceptable to us and we won't deal with them again. Then nail anybody we have evidence of tapping up. It might not solve the VVD problem but it would save us money and get us a lot of respect. Transfer him when we are through and not to Liverpool. Plan! I keep flip flopping between wanting to do this and just getting shot of the **** and using the money to strengthen the team. If we can get silly money for a centre back it does make good business sense, especially considering it is in attack we seem to have most problems. Its happenend to Saints too often. If we are now asserting the club as bigger than any player--cherrs, and well done Les, Ralph and whoever. However if we sell, we may well have at least two unhappy players, in Bertrand & Cedric, plus any others who think they can pull the same stunt. I feel that Les needs to stand firm on this one. Can distinctly remember a full page in one of the red tops stating how he was ready to make that step up and wanted to leave - much to Cortese's anger at the time. Can't imagine either he would come back here at this stage (with Chelsea and Liverpool rumoured to be bidding). He probably knows someone who knows Van Dijk or his agent but when he is asked to provide information that you could only get from the executive level in the club he gives a load of waffle and says whatever was recently in the media. Never understood why posters on here turn on their own fans in the way we do..... May be it happens on other forums. I don't know Tom28 from Adam, but he called the VVD training before any press or certainly anyone on here did..... Now that was a lucky guess according to some posters. Take a look back through his posting history. He has broken cover in terms of being ITK fairly recently, but gave lots of snippets as suggestions or questions (That turned out to be right) going back to 2014 ( Couldn't be arsed to go check any further) and a telling post on page 7 of his forum posts..... will let you lot work it out. He quite clearly is closer than any of us- Doesn't mean he will always be right and is almost certainly third / fourth hand info.... Exactly the same as Monk and Guan. I doubt it would be rocket science to work out who he is (Again can't be arsed) but my guess is he works at Staplewood in some capacity.
