Not quite. You and a bunch of other useful idiots lapped up a badly edited video primed to make you think what Trump wanted you to think https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/02/technology/biden-video-edited.html

Here's the original if you have any interest (doubtful) https://crooked.com/podcast/joe-biden-pod-save-america-interview/

Trump currently live on TV addressing the nation and explaining how he is being cheated out of a second term.

Reading directly from a script 🙂

He's on national tv claiming Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania elections were corruptly run - but those states are all controlled by Republican Administrations. Either he's a lying schitt or his own party hate him enough to sabotage their own candidate

Trump says that election observers are being blocked from doing their job in Pennsylvania, the state government say they are live streaming from video cameras at the count so that anybody, anywhere, can watch..

Says that Republican observers were blocked in Detroit; the local news reports "

A chaotic confrontation with protesters unfolded Wednesday afternoon inside the TCF Center, where city police officers barred Republican and Democratic poll challengers from entering the room where Detroit ballots were being counted inside the convention center.

Both political parties had surpassed the law-mandated maximum of 134 challengers with more than 200 each, and when election workers told GOP challengers the party had hit its limit, some began shouting about the unfair process and lack of transparency."

I'm watching Fox. Even their presenters are embarrassed to recap on what he claimed

"The President is claiming massive evidence of fraud but we haven't see any evidence of any fraud or even heard about it". Three separate presenters are rubbishing his claims

Commentator from Wall Street Journal (Murdoch owned) pointing out non of the Republican state Governors or their Attorney Generals, or even the Vice President have come out to support him or allege fraud.

One of the allegations Trump made was that there were whole batches of votes being counted without a single Trump vote in them. Fox commentator just pointed out that it is standard practice in some counties to separate the ballot papers into votes for each candidate before counting them.

Glad to see Fox News finding some integrity. They've got to come out of this with some credibility.

Be interesting what #ucker Carlson and Hannity will have to say about all this.

I get the sense that the whole Republican party and establishment is starting to cut him adrift

True.

Did you see the interaction between Trump and the Arizona senatorial candidate McSally recently at one of his spreader events?

She lost to an astronaut btw :)

"Twitter permanently suspended an account belonging to former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon after he suggested Thursday morning that Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded. His comments were made in a video posted to his Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter accounts.

Bannon falsely claimed President Trump had won reelection, despite several key states still being too close to call, and said that he should fire both Fauci and Wray.
He then said he would go further: "I'd put the heads on pikes. Right. I'd put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats. You either get with the program or you are gone.""

I think the only thing Trumps rants have done is made the networks a bit frightened to call it.

Biden has won. It's very clear he will win Pennsylvania, there are only posted votes to count and they are hugely Biden even in the counties that are Trump rural counties. And at that point it's over. Its just a matter of the counting to finish.

In six months time this election won't even be seen as being particularly close.

Trump looked a broken man in that statement - he knows this is over and has been for some time.

When Fox News are embarrassed by him, you know how it’s going to end.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Biden take Georgia (only 400 behind now), Arizona, Nevada and Pennsylvania. It’s turning into a very comfortable victory.

Enjoying CNN and their drilling down into districts within states. And they generally loathe Trump. Need to take a look at Fox to see how they are attempting to spin.

Fox have had Arizona as a Biden win for over 24 hours, and Biden on 264 EC votes, despite counting continuing.

Every Trump lie, every snide insult, all the shit about fake news, every day spent on a golf course, all the speeches laughing at Covid and calling people traitors, the insults to soldiers, every deranged Tweet in CAPS - all of those moments over four years have chased voters away, so the Washington sky is tonight filled with the chickens of justice coming home.

Roost my little beauties, roost!

Well it’s looking likely that the child sniffer/socialist party are going to get in.

is everyone cool about his policies?

im particularly impressed by the policy he’s intending to change within his 1st 100 days in office that will amend the equality act to allow anyone who identifies themselves as a female, regardless of the size of their meat and 2 veg, is aloud into female toilets, completely unchallenged (by law).

it’s gonna be nonce heaven in America.

Who the US president is has never made a blind bit of difference to my life, including when I was resident out there. The only difference this one will make is slightly spoiling my hobby of laughing at lefties. Still plenty of opportunities ahead with Brexit finally approaching, and I’m sure Biden will give us plenty of laughs.

Gave up on Fox News as wasn’t long before getting some Republican fcker on saying he was concerned about trends and dead people voting.

Would like  to think the voting public woudl mark these cunts assault on democracy but alas they will believe it too. Not going to get any better with everyone in their echo chambers.

thankfully I get a rounded opinion from Saintsweb😀

The trouble with playing the man and not the policies is that when you have a character like Trump, who, it has to be said is a total helmet, the other party's policies don't really get examined, the loudest argument I've heard is 'vote for us, Trump's a racist'.  The problem then is you never really get to hear their policies so any old nonsense could be put up as a policy and no one really notices as they're too busy hating the other guy.

Don’t worry Duckie, you still have a few years of the Chubster and his right wing Chronies (what a great name for a band) to keep you smiling! Who knows, once they get wise to Johnson and kick him out, you might even get Patel! What a treat!

I think by the end of the day its not even going to be seen as that close. They are predicting the leads in Georgia and PA will become relatively comfortable for Biden, especially in PA where apparently Philly mail in ballots are 16 to 1 in favour of Biden, so all these thousands of votes coming Biden is getting like over 90% of them. People saying the lead in PA could be like 50-60k ahead easily. Georgia should pull up to more like 8-10k in the end if not more.

And even in Trump favouring counties across the country mail in ballots are favouring Biden by about 60-65%, so the supposed close races in Nevada and Arizona are not really going to be close.

He won Michigan by a lot larger margin than Trump won in 2016.

Biden is now looking likely to have 306 Electoral college votes, something like 74 million Americans voting for him (by far the most in US history of any President), a good 4 million plus lead in the popular vote over Trump.

Biden and the Dems don't really have any policies, their campaign has essentially been 'he's not trump' and let's get back to the old status quo with Joe.

Which is working, and after seeing Trumps outburst including a press conference that included the most lies in an presidential address ever where he literally undermined the democracy of the United States its not surprising its their tactics.

Plus they are unlikely to have a lead in the Senate (as they need to win 3 potential run off elections in Jan) so for the first two years Biden won't be able to do crap anyway because of that giant c*nt McConnel won't give an inch for any progress.

So Dems will need to up their game for 2024, especially as Joe Biden will be 82 and his health is already iffy so might not be able to run and likely will not have got much done in his Presidency except stabilise the country and not act like a giant tit, so they can't just run a campaign on being less worse than the other guy and expect to win.

wow, I actually agree with most of what you say, though I don't think Biden will last his full term, illness or death will do for him, which is a little scary as I feel Kamala Harris is much further left than he ever was.

As for running the country, I don't think he'll be doing much of that, he's a mouth piece and the strings will be pulled behind him.  Not sure how he'll stabalise the country though, there's so much hatred been brewed up on both sides it could take years to get over it and it's far too easy to 'win' an argument by cancelling people who don't agree/vote for the 'right' people.

Both the Republicans and Democrats will have to up their game in 2024, it'll be good to actually have an election which centres around policies and not this identity politics where one party screams you're racist if you vote for the other party.

It's as if policies on public toilets were not very high on the list of priorities among the American public.

This is what seems to have happened in America. Once upon a time people agreed on the objectives, but disagreed on the way to get there. Now they also disagree on the objectives. Biden does not come out of this election looking strong. This election has moved the overton window, the fact that after all that has happened it was still this close suggests that people have a tolerance for incompetence and dishonesty, as the only thing important to certain sections of society is to make liberals cry. Next you need to understand that what the word liberal means in america does not cover the same territory as the word does in the UK. Liberal basically means not conservative, and american conservatives start a lot further right than the Tories. Liberal is used to encompass socialist and moderate conservatives. Harris is not very liberal, she is generally disliked by the social democrat part of the media. She is a main stream corporate democrat like Biden. I am just glad it is nearly over its been exhausting.

Biden has already said he won't run for a second term.

Trump is showing his true colours, although anyone who didn't already know what they were must have been pretty fucking dense but, frankly, I would wager it's better for the long term future of the country to have a relatively meek lame-duck guy for 4 years than a corrupt, lying, cheating, rabble-rousing, wannabe dictator with narcissistic personality disorder and dementia in charge.

It's such a divided country though.

In any normal election you'd need vision, compelling policies, very quick to think on your feet and to be a great orator. This time Biden got elected because he is stable, decent guy who believes in democracy and that was enough compared to the alternative.
