Starting to think the club is just rotten to the core.

The club isn't but the owners are a truly shocking list of managerial appointments.... Thought the new DOF was supposed to be switched on!

What the fuck do they work on all week at Staplewood because whatever it is it's a complete waste of time and effort.

Same issue as always. Our attacking players look amazing against our back 4 and Baz.

This is so unbelievably shite….
wingers that keep coming inside and can’t beat their man.

Not won any headers in opposition box

zero support for the striker

look absolutely toothless up front… not having a decent striker is killing us

new players look very average and non remotely capable of stepping up if we ever got promoted

we look better with five at the back than we do with this formation

robinson looks better than Azaz

mccarthy has to start

have they bothered training this week?

big 45 mins coming or fans will start turning

We look far from dangerous at corners, crosses, etc. Just no threat in the air at all. Downs had his chance to make a name for himself with that great pass from Azaz but failed to hit the target. Can't think of much else really.

Yep. Frustrating to watch, and odd that people don't see it. Play needs to go through Azaz.

The new ones that haven't impressed me are the RB and Fellows.

And Still.

Is it too much to ask for a football team that actually wants to play football? Score goals? How long must we suffer!

So dull. Lifeless. Then when the other team gets the ball they look like scoring. Why is it we never do? Successive managers, players. Oh the life of a Saints fan.

The entire club is rotten from top to bottom. It's all on Sports Republic. They've utterly failed as owners and need to get the fuck out of our club before they sink us even further.

They’ll give him until Christmas

Unless we’re in the bottom three they will probably give him the whole season, or more, based on their track record and gross incompetence.

I like Still’s Press Cons. Beyond that I’m starting to wonder. We have talented players at this level who are currently putting in solid League 2 performances. Anyone else starting to wonder about Will Still?

We didn't deal with the 3 things we most needed: striker, keeper and captain. Still is working with a spineless team (in both senses)

How about a defending cluster fuck masterpiece for their goal

Absolutely zero progress so far this season. I wouldn’t mind if it looked like we are on our way but this looks no different from last few seasons.

defence still fucking clueless no fast movement going forward. Cant pass to each other unless 5 yards and wank up front. 😢

Load of shite so far. Perhaps some of you will stop posting about how we have better players and start giving this league the respect it deserves. Others sides know how to play against us and Still has no answers

On paper the Saints team is better than 20 odd teams in the league.

Players and manager need to get a grip

More possession, without really threatening.
Laboured in possession.
Taking ages to get a move going, resulting in Hull having no problems getting into a defensive shape.
At a goal down, we're going to have to break them down, but won;t bother them at that pace.

Hulls' team is a Championship one, built on their available pennies to build as best they can. It's got solid Championship names in there, with experience and working as a unit.

SR have given us a Championship team built for player trading more than where we don't have the experience, teamwork or the best players we could have in key positions. Well done SR.

Good moments:
Stephens gave us 3 seconds of moving from defence into midfield. That was about as uncomfortable as it got for Hull, as their shape had issues in compensating.

Downs was through from a good pass, but put it wide.

We slowly were getting a few balls into the box late on in the half. Nothing driven in or difficult to deal with.

The most worrying part is there doesn’t seem to be any leaders on the pitch. There’s no talking, nothing. Just 11 players who look clueless and disjointed.

Bit harsh on Fraser (who has surprisingly been one of our better players this season so far), but I think we've got to see Scienza - Azaz - Fellows - once these guys start to play together I think we'll start ripping teams to pieces. Azaz a bit quiet but a nice through ball for Downs who with a bit more confidence would've buried that, and Fellows has looked decent on the rare occasions he's got the ball. Scienza will turn their right back inside out.

Really, really worrying half

Considering they haven't learned from the start against Pompey this is really worrying. Suggests players either don't understand what Still wants or they don't trust his tactics.

I thought Still wanted his sides to get the ball forward quickly. When is that going to start happening or is beyond our well paid coaches and players. I despair I really do. We are just so dire in every department.

There's just no joined up thinking, on or off the pitch.

We signed a tall, quick centre back because the ones we had were slow and weak in the air, and he can't make the bench.

We supposedly want to press with high energy, but signed an idle number 10 who won't or can't do that.

We lump the ball up in the air to 5' 7" strikers, and pass it along the ground to 6' 4" strikers.

It makes no difference anyway because they're all absolute garbage.

And the keeper remains a liability, after we loaned out our first choice and brought in a new third choice.

Maybe we're going to do a Luton after all. What a sorry state.

OMG been watching since the 20th minute - we are terrible! Toothless in attack, ponderous, slow build-up, we don't cross when we should and do hen we shouldn't - what is it with us?!
Sorry, but Bazunu is just not good enough...he has to know their player was close - that was the time to catch the ball not play it straight into the attackers path!
If we don't win this against a very ordinary side we need to face the fact we are going to struggle to get anywhere near promotion this season.
Where's the bite, the speed, the shots FFS?! C'mon Saints - this is rubbish!

Still has sold the fans and the board a dream with big, bold words

I'd never seen one of his teams play and I would be very surprised if Spors had either

Still has never managed in English football. The French league is a totally different thing. He was always going to need time to adapt. Unfortunately he’s doing it with a shite keeper and no decent striker to speak of.

Another piss poor half of football and another manager where the opposition seem to be fitter than our lot. Are they still getting more days off than most clubs give during the week?

For years we've been needing a manager who gets the players working hard. Hard work outworks talent. As we see all too often lately. Juric was meant to be that guy, the players were still as lethargic as ever. Spors is meant to prefer football with athletic and powerful players and Still was meant to bring a pressing and fit game back to the club. Yet, again, the players are still standing around more often than not and barely breaking out into a jog. Watch Hull on the ball, and our players are well stood off them. Putting no pressure on the ball, nor the player. We allow teams to play out from the back, which is pretty ridiculous when we were the victims of so many errors last year due to teams pressing us. Watch us on the ball, the tempo is all very slow, and Hull swarm and put pressure on us, causing us to hoof the ball out of panic, as like Pompey did last week and the opposition lap it up. Enjoyable football is getting shots off on goal and working the goalkeeper, attempting to win the game, and as like last week we haven't done anything today. Can't score with every shot, so if we're only getting one shot off a game, we're going to lose. It's that simple.

We need some early half time subs. No 70+minutes ones today. We're 1-0 down. Scienza has to be better than whatever played in the first half and Robinson, although lacking control does cause problems to defences with his positive attacking play. Damion Downs is crap too.

As with last week, I'm still waiting for this fantastic leadership from Stephens with these half hearted performances by the way.

We need to go up several levels in the second half to be competitive.

Thinking positively I suppose there's a chance this lot could gel in time to make a late push for the play-offs. Current form has us at least escaping relegation.

Some of us were warning that the squad had not been exorcised enough of the losing mentality…the scars if you like. There are far too many players strolling around with the intention of breaking through 11 oppo players without anyone having the skill to do so. And then you have a manager who leaves our best players on the bench until the 75-80th minute. It’s a shitshow and no mistake.

Not sure it’s that bad but last week even the ball boys looked like they can’t be bothered. They sit and watch whilst our players gesture for the ball…. I miss the days of Cortese (like him or loathe him he had purpose) when it felt like even the ball boys were drilled in helping the team…. Now it feels direction less everywhere including the first team maybe except the self service beer….and I think that’s a different company we subcontracted too.
