Southampton 3-2 Burnley - Match Thread

Absolute joke of a decision. KWP was clearly pulled out the way for that.

All that preparation ruined. Burnley are the best team at defending their lead. This will be uncomfortable viewing for the rest of the game as we should now be the possession-heavy team.

Need the equaliser and fast.

How are some people saying that wasn’t a penalty 😂😂

Because Pieters fell into KWP. The only reason there was any contact was because he was stretching to make the cross and went into KWP. Just as much a foul the other way.

VAR has made football a joke.

Edit: wrong player. Pieters, not Woods.

Behave, He was just stronger, then Walker Peters took him out, you’d be fuming if that was us and we’d not got it

Jesus Christ 😂

The attacker was stronger than him, KWP got caught the wrong side, dived in and took him out. Absolutely stonewall.

A Foul the other way would have been scandalous.

That was on the cards, they’ve already been in behind 2-3 times with Fraser saving after 40 secs with Saints giving the ball away in terrible areas. Silly foul by KWP although Pieters is a strong lad. Looking a bit brighter so far going forward but too slow with the final ball. And Burnley nearly in again behind. Pieters gets the better of KWP again and nearly a repeat.

Does Sean dyche have a vendetta against us? Burnley always seem to play a few gears higher against us.

It's nothing to do with that.

Dyche, like literally every other manager in the league, knows Ralph's gameplan, because Ralph hasn't got a plan B at all. I mean nothing whatsoever.

They can come here and know exactly how we're going to setup.

Burnley play rugby basically. Territory football. Play it into areas. Effective stuff when combined with enthusiasm and commitment.

We'll do well to turn this one around as they look super determined and sadly destined to take the points here

KWP was shoved out of the way. Stronger with his arm, do you mean?

Pieters got his cross in and turned into KWP. So Stonewall that the real referee didn’t give it. Try watching in real time, not slow motion.

Pony. Today they’re passing the ball round our midfield, playing much better stuff than us.

Nah disagree with that completely. Committed tackling and fast balls into areas. If you call that passing it around out midfield then fair enough.

Not this again 😂 VAR is there to overturn decisions exactly like that.

Slow motion or not, it was a foul ffs.

Who’s the utter **** on commentary?

Dunno.

I tried Blackmore and Merrington on the saints app but they're lagging a good minute behind Sky on the TV, so don't know what to do now.

I can't watch it on mute.
