Best player on the pitch in the play off final but that was a LWB. Him and Wellington can’t both be there and I can’t see him at RWB so be interesting to see how we line up.

Suhari Posted Tuesday at 18:17 Posted Tuesday at 18:17 Fully planned on watching this. Now I realise I'm double booked watching a Simple Minds audience-with thingy now, and an important call with a customer in California at 8:30. Which means we're going to play a blinder and be 4-0 up by half time. You can thank me later.

HarvSFC Posted Tuesday at 18:24 Posted Tuesday at 18:24 I just don't see the sense in signing two of the Championship's best attackers. Two exciting signings and benching them, restricting them to cameos off the bench. What did Azaz get at the weekend? 5 minutes? I just think an attacking midfield three of Scienza - Azaz - Fellows would be exciting and good enough for this level, but I don't think the three have been on the pitch together. Scienza causing issues down one wing and Fellows down the other. Stops teams from doubling up on one, as Armstrong isn't running at, nor beating anyone with skill on the other side. But, hopefully I'm wrong and we play out a comfortable victory with this line-up. 3

OttawaSaint Posted Tuesday at 18:26 Posted Tuesday at 18:26 Lineup just doesn't seem to matter. Still 3 CBs. I'm struggling to care. 4 1
SuperSAINT Posted Tuesday at 18:29 Posted Tuesday at 18:29 Knowing saints, we’ll probably finally score but then concede a couple of daft goals.
saintstowin Posted Tuesday at 18:30 Posted Tuesday at 18:30 Floaty crosses from Fellows getting a mention (as in stop doing them). But he seems to have a really good move of finding a yard between the far touchline and penalty area and then dinking (floating) in a cross, which at WBA was then converted. Often. I looked forward to that when he signed. A flaw in the plan....we've got nobody to head it in and Fellows isn't playing. 3-2 to Saints tonight.

It's mad isn't it - we sign a tricky winger who can cross the ball but...he can't get in the side because we've given him nobody to cross the ball to. You couldn't make it up! 2 1
LiberalCommunist Posted Tuesday at 18:40 Posted Tuesday at 18:40 No clean sheet, but we will score. 1-1
Willo of Whiteley Posted Tuesday at 18:41 Posted Tuesday at 18:41 Azaz and Fellows left their respective clubs and since then their former teams have thrived. So actually, did we buy two of the best players in the league or…?

You couldn't make it up! I agree. And also it's not just strikers that could or should be there for good crosses, decent attacking midfielders can be in the box. Fellows seems to be missing out because of our general style (being slow to support wing play included in that 'style'). And yes, that is bizarre. Edited Tuesday at 18:45 by saintstowin
disconnect Posted Tuesday at 18:44 Posted Tuesday at 18:44 Jelert out injured and Roerslev doesn’t make the bench? He (like many of Saints signings over the past few seasons) looked good on his debut and then quickly falling out of favour. Everyone hates the back 3/5 right?

Saint Fan CaM Posted Tuesday at 18:56 Posted Tuesday at 18:56 Shame about Jelert - he was looking like a great starter at RWB. Thinking if the idea is to get Fraser forward into attack Bristol will target every out ball down that side as it’ll be seen as a wide open weakness. Still think we can grab a result which let’s face it would be a bit of a welcome surprise.

Sheaf Saint Posted Tuesday at 19:04 Posted Tuesday at 19:04 Scienza showing his quality again already.
obelisk Posted Tuesday at 19:04 Posted Tuesday at 19:04 Confident start from Saints. Shot from Archer. Off target.
ChristopheVAFC Posted Tuesday at 19:05 Posted Tuesday at 19:05 Is the match being filmed by a drone? ? 🤣 4
AlexLaw76 Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Looking pretty good here, and winning the 2nd ball in their half a fair bit. Deffo some zip to the passing 1

Saint Matty 76 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Scienza is a nice bit of entertainment. Can't see much outside of us getting picked apart on the counter, however.
CB Fry Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Ten more minutes of flattering to deceive before we go one down.
Saint_clark Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Scienza and Jander linking up magnificently so far.
Saint Matty 76 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Posted Tuesday at 19:12 Brilliant touch by Arma and then ruins it all by not playing it into Archer, stupid.
kjurwi Posted Tuesday at 19:13 Posted Tuesday at 19:13 We have the ball alot. Doesn't create that much though.
Bakovnetski Posted Tuesday at 19:13 Posted Tuesday at 19:13 The back 3 are not really looking up for the pass
