Reports in Scotland #saintsfc have made a six-figure bid for 17-year-old Dundee striker Craig Wighton #transfers

Are you sure it's us? Or St Johnstone? Can't see why we need another youngster unless we want to put him in the academy.

Fair play to Stoke!

STOKE AIMING HIGH:

Stoke City are also keeping an eye on Bayern Munich star Xherdan Shaqiri. Assistant manager Mark Bowen explained that they would be interested in speaking to the Swiss international should he become available.

Sources have told Sky Sports News HQ reporter Rob Dorsett, that the Potters have made an inquiry for the player who has scored 19 goals in 51 international games.

Vickery on talksport suggesting that Quintero would want/wait for a champions league club should he leave Porto

he went on to say that he is an excellent player and would do well in the prem

He said Gaston wouldn't be suited to the prem so he knows his stuff.

I wish we'd go in for Shaqiri!

Even Jovetic on his day can be a great player but yes, saying Dzeko isnt a similar player to Pellè is odd. But then SRL is the only target man in europe ?!?

It isn't really odd for this forum though is it. The majority on here cking have a clue what they're on about.

He will go to Liverpool.

We should make a half hearted bid anyway, just to annoy the scousers and make them add £10Million to their offer.

of course, they can always try.....but I think that this type of publicity is just a cheap way to show they are ambitious. It doesn't work, but sounds convincing to some of their fans.

Harry Redknapp is an expert at this, he regularly makes noises about bidding for some "world class" player, but then ends up signing someone on a half-season loan from one of his old clubs.

The Express article mentions that 32m is his release clause. I would guess if we do want him, we would try and negotiate that down.

£32m is ridiculous, we've never even sold a player for that amount.

...but of course " the Schneiderlin deal " hasn't come to fruition yet, but if Wenger is desperate enough ...who knows?

Another target that judas has taken with him to spuds along with his black box... spurs apparently in for Ings at £7m, personally don't think they'll sell him for that, would be madness if they went down. We really need to pull our finger out and sign him tbh.

Could be good if Spurs get Ings, maybe they wouldn't also want Jay Rod?

Why would that be good? Rodriguez was fantastic but relied on running at people and being fairly athletic, there's no chance he'll be as good when he comes back and probably won't sign a new contract. He was easily my favourite striker in years but he's had a career wrecker imo. If we could get 20mill for him still I'd bite Spurs hand off, you can't miss what we haven't had for a year or so anyway.
